Christmas Facts with Santa: Paul McCartney’s Money Maker
We’re sorry you have to hear this, but Jack has an…entertaining…holiday message for you:
There are actually 2 important facts in this video.
1. Christmas time actually is wonderful for Paul McCartney
According to Forbes, a music industry source estimated that McCartney earns $400,000-$600,000 every Q4 from royalties on Wonderful Christmastime.
That means McCartney has seen about $15 million from the song since its release in 1979.
The beauty of that song is that Paul wrote, performed, recorded, and produced the entire song by himself. That means he doesn’t have to split the royalties with anyone.
2. Jack is in denial about his singing talent
Not to be outdone, our own Jack O’McCartney-Donohue can be heard around our office practicing his vocal warmups and belting out jolly holiday tunes.
We tried asking him not to quit his/our day job, but he insists that “if 4 kids from Liverpool can do it, so can I!”
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
